First Muslim elected to U.S. Congress!

I read your post booklover. I will never defend Islam btw. What concerns me about all this recent talk about the so called ‘Islamic infiltration’ is paranoia which leads to violence in the end.

Lets say that by some miracle Islamics could organize themselves into a conspiracy involving millions of muslims keeping a secret about a takeover. What could they realy do? Call a national referendum to eliminate the US constitution and replace it with the Koran? This is the stuff of futuristic movies.

How do people react when bible thumping radical protestants try to evangelize them on the street? They look at them like they have three heads and say ummmmmm no thanks fruit cake. Did the teenagers in California who were taught about Islam all convert to Islam or did they wait for that bell to ring and walk out of the building listening to rap music on there IPOD?

Our culture rejects religion in general. Do we realy think Islam can actually evangilze the majority of the US? Islamic parents have enough trouble keeping there kids from dressing like Brittany Spears let alone even thinking about converting us in our country. We need to remember what was said on the Fox news special “obsession”, 80 to 85 percent of Islam is moderate. That means that at least 90 percent of Islamic people in the US are liberals.

The hard thing after 911 for people do is to trust Islamic people. Lets be real, how can we tell they are not a terrorist type in hiding? The short answer, we can’t. So unless we see an Islamic person strapped with explosives walking into a crowded area we must give them the benefit of the doubt.

If the conspiracy theories about Islam invading the US are true. I can assure you that 25 people keeping a secret is most unlikely. Let alone thousands or millions conspiring together. We will see it coming a long way off. If they want a war they will get one but until it comes to that point, we as Catholics must give them the benefit of the doubt.

The way women dress has no bearing on rape. Rape is about power and control, not sex. It’s about men regarding women as things, not people. Great-grandmothers and infants get raped. Did they entice men with their shawls and diapers? Are you really a Muslim cleric from Australia in disguise?

Keith Ellison is (or was) an adherent to the Nation of Islam, a small US group lead by Louis Farrakhan. The Nation of Islam is not Islamic.

I tend to agree – why on earth does anybody think that Christian (or Judeo-Christian) values can’t be found within Christianity? :whacky:

P.S. – Two Religious Milestones – With the election of Keith Ellison, a Minnesota Democrat, Congress has its first Muslim representative. Second, if the Democrats take control of the Senate, as now appears likely, they will likely elect a Mormon, Harry Reid of Nevada, as the leader. Given that the Church of Latter Day Saints used to be viewed by many Christians as heretical, it’s a sign of how far Mormons have come that Reid’s faith appears to be a non-issue.
 
I think that we all need to go and take a look at some of the rhetoric about Catholics in the 1840s and 50s here in America - particularly those of us who are of Irish Catholic ancestry. Or take a good look at the rhetoric when Italians and Sicilians immigrated here in great numbers during the late 1800s. Finally, I as ask all of you to consider the political rhetoric before JFK became the first Catholic president. Let us judge them by the fruits of their actions.
 
First Islamic Devil Worshipper elected to U.S. Congress!
WASHINGTON, Nov. 8 - Keith Ellison, a convert to Arabic Style Devil Worship and Democrat from Minneapolis, on Tuesday (Nov. 7) became the first Islamic Devil Worshipper to be elected to Congress.

Ellison, 43, beat two other candidates to take Minnesota’s 5th Congressional District seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Ellison received 56 percent of the vote.

“We received a lot of Islamic Devil Worshipper support because I think it’s natural for people to want to see themselves reflected in the government of our society,” Ellison said Wednesday. “My election offers them the ability to be much more involved in the government of our society and I think that’s a good thing.”

U.S. Islamic Devil Worshipper groups cheered Ellison’s historic election and said they hope it means their voices will be heard in the halls of power.

“(This is) certainly a historic event, and it speaks to the better part of America,” said Mahdi Bray, executive director of the Islamic Devil Worshipper American Society, which sought to mobilize U.S. Muslims to vote in the midterm elections.

The Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr., who campaigned for Ellison, said Ellison’s principles appeal to people of all faiths and “that’s why he won and why he deserved to win.”

“Keith’s religion informs his values, (but) America’s interest informs his vote,” Jackson said.

I am not ashamed in the least to be anti-Muslim.
The traditional Christians of old were as rabid as I am in opposing the Infidel, if not more so.
I am sick of people apologizing for the Holy Crusades. I would love to see the Islamic faith erased from the earth once and for all.
I suppose that shall not happen until Our Lord returns.

When I say I am opposed to Evil I mean that I am against the atrocities which we see commited in the name of Islam.
Sawing off heads on camera, slicing childrens bellies open and letting dogs eat their intestines while they are alive:confused:
I am opposed to such madness and therefore must oppose a religion which condones such actions.
