Hey Bry! You do have to be careful how you write here. Even some of our most pious Catholics here will nick pick a sentence. It seems that some are more concerned about nick picking a paragraph then trying to understand the context.

It’s nit picking. not nick picking.

Keith became Muslim during a time when racism was rampant in the Christian community, and “muslims” like Louis Farrakhan offered an alternative that didn’t involve that.
The rest of your statement I can agree with, but Louis Farrakhan offering an alternative that didn’t involve racism?!?!?!?

Please!!!

This is the same kind of trash that people said about JFK when he was running for president. “LOOK! It’s a PAPIST TRICK TO TAKE OVER AMERICA!” and so on.
Comparing JFK and Keith Elisson is like comparing apples and oranges. The former was presidential election, while the latter was parliamentary election!

JFK was an evangelical Christian and so he won. His enemies who tried claiming it was a Vatican conspiracy to rule the U.S. of A were Muslims hoping to divide Christians!

Islam is incompatible with our way of life! Wait till more of them get elected and they start wanting sharia law declared in this country! Islam is an imperialistic cult that has never progressed beyond the 7th century
First compare Islam to Nazism, then compare Muhammad to Adolf Hitler. Both these two personalities have a very similar character. This is the reason why I left Islam.
Do you want a country where people’s hands are cut off because of stealing?
No, since Bible says the maximum penalty for stealing is 6 years jail.
Where people who commit adultery are stoned to death?
Jesus our Lord forbid stoning a person to death for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Where people are whipped for having an alcoholic drink?
Nowhere in the Bible does it say consuming alcoholic drinks in moderation is wrong.
Where women are forced to dress in “Islamic style”?
Here I disagree with you. Does not our Lady, ever-virgin Mary the Theotokos also dress “Islamic style”? St Helena, mother of Constantine the Great and St Monica, mother of St Augustine of Hippo are excellent examples of pious Christian women. Certainly, Christian women should not dress like Britney Spears or Madonna who are really disgusting!
Where only Islamic music is allowed and TV is forbidden?
Islamic “music” is reciting the Quran and performing Solat 5 times a day. Its certainly not music in the Western sense of the word.

From Murtad – Here I disagree with you. Does not our Lady, ever-virgin Mary the Theotokos also dress “Islamic style”? A woman doesn’t have to be wrapped up like a package to be modestly dressed. Much of today’s fashion is vulgar, but I can and do dress like a modest lady, and I’m not the only one to do so. Dressing in robes today would be calling attention to yourself, not a sign of modestly.

Exactly! I do the same. Thanks for putting it so well.

Again, correct!

WASHINGTON, Nov. 8 - Keith Ellison, a convert to Islam and Democrat from Minneapolis, on Tuesday (Nov. 7) became the first Muslim to be elected to Congress.

Ellison, 43, beat two other candidates to take Minnesota’s 5th Congressional District seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Ellison received 56 percent of the vote.

“We received a lot of Muslim support because I think it’s natural for people to want to see themselves reflected in the government of our society,” Ellison said Wednesday. “My election offers them the ability to be much more involved in the government of our society and I think that’s a good thing.”

U.S. Muslim groups cheered Ellison’s historic election and said they hope it means their voices will be heard in the halls of power.

“(This is) certainly a historic event, and it speaks to the better part of America,” said Mahdi Bray, executive director of the Muslim American Society, which sought to mobilize U.S. Muslims to vote in the midterm elections.

**The Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr., who campaigned for Ellison, said Ellison’s principles appeal to people of all faiths and “that’s why he won and why he deserved to win.” **

“**Keith’s religion informs his values, (but) America’s interest informs his vote,” Jackson said. **

All I can say is, may God have mercy on us all! This is part of their infiltration.

Wake up, America!
Amen

What do you think?

Where women are forced to dress in “Islamic style”?
Yes but when Nuns cover theirselves modestly that is to show their faith.
I am not ashamed in the least to be anti-Muslim.
The traditional Christians of old were as rabid as I am in opposing the Infidel, if not more so.
I am sick of people apologizing for the Holy Crusades. I would love to see the Islamic faith erased from the earth once and for all.
Yes and Jesus said to love your enemies and look at you, you want to wipe Muslims off of the planet.

There is nothing for a Christian to apologize for in regard to the Crusades. The rape, pillage, and plunder of the Crusades was done entirely outside of the Christianity of God’s Holy Word. The Crusades were as unsupportable by scripture back then, as they would be today.

Islamic murder of Christians and Jews for the last 1300 years however, was and is, perfectly consistent with the teaching of the Quran. The Muslims that are blowing things up are the ones that get Islam. These aren’t fringe elements. These are governments and peoples.
I would love to see the Islamic faith erased from the earth once and for all.
But this will only be accomplished by changing hearts. I believe that the false eschatologies of the 20th century were responsible for the failure of the Church in not having won more Muslims for Christ before the Islamic beast was healed. Christians were blinded to the central role of Islam in prophecy. As a result, today 1.5 billion people may well be on the road to perdition.
I suppose that shall not happen until Our Lord returns.
I can’t add much more to that.

This is Islamic fundamentalism. Mohammed began the 152 years of first Jihad just 13 years after founding Islam. It can’t get much more fundamental than that.

Were the crusades an example of “fringe elements”? i don’t think so. You can say today that the raping, pillaging, etc was done outside the Church but you can be sure those people believed they were doing God’s work with the Church’s blessing. And I am not willing to believe the Church was unaware of what its calls for a crusade would result in. There’s a lot of apologists today that like to say our understanding of the Crusades is a result of revisionist history, but I think that to try to absolve the Church from repsonsibitliy for the atrocities that were committed is the real attempt to revise history.

No one has a problem with crediting the Church for the great things that were done in its name. But I don’t think you can remove the Church for the atrocities that were committed in its name.

I don’t think the people that raped believed they were doing God’s work… And I most certainly don’t think the Church condoned such actions!

The last thing I intended to do was absolve the “Church” from responsibility. I was absolving the truth of God’s Holy Word, and Christianity, from responsibility. False doctrine is the biggest enemy of the Church. That’s what Revelation Chapter 2 is about. You won’t find Satan at an atheist convention. They are already in his back pocket. You can look for Satan square in the middle of the Church, doing his best to cart of Jesus goods.

The “Church” was guilty as you charge. NOT THE TRUTH OF CHRISTIANITY PER GOD’S HOLY WORD. The rapers, pillagers, and plunderers of the Crusades were no more Christian, than are much of whom call themselves Christians today.

The Muslims who have done the same as the Crusaders, for over 1300 years, are following the Quran. Rape and enslaving of women into harems is an acceptable part of Jihad.
