Hi everyone,
I would like to get some information on a TLM shrine in Winfield ill.
called Christ The King. I have not seen any posts on it here and any info would be helpful.
thank-you and God bless,

The recognized parish in Winfield is St. John the Baptist.

I would call the Diocese of Joliet and ask about it. Christ the King in Winfield is not recognized (as far as I know) by Bishop Satrain or the Vatican. It is promoted by the SSPX on their publishing site, Angelus Online.

My grandmother used to live just up the street from that church. She lived on Beecher St.

But it is not a “real” Catholic Church. St. John the Baptist is the Catholic Church in Winfield.

This thread will degenerate into more of the same within 24 hours.

But, for the OP: It appears that the TLM you’re talking about is celebrated by the SSPX. They’re in schism, although there is debate over whether or not it’s OK for a Catholic to attend their Masses.
