First Pregnancy - Little stressed

This is my first pregnancy. I had my first prenatal appointment and my doctor went on and on about miscarriage and the risk of down syndrome and the risk of delivering a preemie and basically every way my baby could die now before full term birth. I’m older (Just turned 36) AND overweight and I think he just looked at me and immediately dismissed that I’d deliver a healthy baby.

Needless to say I’m a bit stressed.

Every little pregnancy symptom fills me with anxiety. I’m having trouble overcoming this and would appreciate some prayers.

I’ve asked for a lot of prayers already guys but these are trying times.

Stress will not help the situation. Take your fears to the Lord and leave them with him. Congrats by the way on your pregnancy. God bless you.

Blessed Mother Mary, you were chosen by God to bear within you our world’s greatest gift, the Savior of all humanity. I come to you now on behalf of @somecanadian who prays for the health and safety of the child that God has graced her to conceive.

Guard this life that God has created, and protect the mother God has chosen for this child. Let your gentle hands, like that of a skilled physician, assist in her delivery so that this baby will know good health and lasting happiness.

May her child be favored with the grace of Holy Baptism, and grow to love our Lord Jesus Christ above all else in this world. Amen.

I wanted to thank everyone for their prayers.

Still struggling with stress. Today I’ve been experiencing light spotting and while I know it CAN be normal, it has my brain in overdrive.

This pregnancy thing is a scary, scary thing. I just wish I had more trust!

I wish that the peace of the Holy Spirit be with you and that all undue stress be removed from you. I pray for a healthy pregnancy for you. I also pray for your unborn child to be healthy and happy.
