I found it very interesting that here is Moses holding up a staff. God obviously knew he would not have the strength to hold it up that long by himself. I know what I would answer to the following questions. How would you answer them?
- What possible purpose could God have in giving Moses a seemingly impossible task? (hint: one answer is in the text itself)

- What is the significance of the staff?

- Why would such a loving and gracious God command His people to wipe out surrounding pagan nations rather than permitting them the opportunity to repent and convert?
