I’ve been back at mass for a while now, and have spoken to the priest, and now I should be able to get to reconciliation. Between work and kids, trying to get there has been a little difficult. My parish only has two priests and 4 church’s between daily mass, and other goings on it can get very busy for them. I also appreciate that my priest will go out of his way to see me, as the first mass that he did he saw me and came over to speak to me and welcome me black.
I know that all I have to do is call, but there are other people who need him too. I want to make an effort to get to the prescribed times.

Anyway after all that, I’m heading to reconciliation this morning. I’m a little nervous. I have a tendency to be (I’m not sure what the term is) hard on myself with my opinion on when I have sinned. So I’m working on that. I don’t want to go overboard but I want to be accurate.

So yeah, blabbering on because of my nervousness! Luckily I have my little reconciliation pamphlet that I can take with me.

Wish me luck! (And lots of prayers)

How exciting for you! My prayers are with you! You’ll feel great when this is done, and Heaven will be dancing with joy!

Praying for you! Remember you are meeting Jesus! He LOVES you and is happy that you are back! His mercy is so great!

This is for you! Make the best of it… 🙂 Praying for your peace as you go in there…😉 and of course peace coming out will be a given…

How wonderful that you ahve decided to do this. I hope it all went well. Praying for you.

Thank you!
It was the other priest who did the reconciliation today. English is his second language and while there was some interesting ways he said things “it’s not a sin to miss mass, but it is a blessing…” I understood what he meant…
That I shouldn’t look upon it as sinning to miss mass, but I should be looking at it that it is a blessing to go to mass each week. I don’t think he was advocating that missing mass is not a sin, just that I need to stop looking at things from the I am sinning if perspective to the actual reason for going, if that makes sense.

So I cried and had to put things in categories because there was so many 😊
But in the end i have faith in Gods forgiveness, and with him I have the strength to not second guess myself about it…
