I have to work on the first Saturday of March. It is a 24 hour shift. This website, themostholyrosary.com/appendix2.htm, states that for “just reasons” the First Saturday devotion may be practiced on a Sunday. I have never read that piece of information on any other site, book or pamphlet on the First Saturday devotions.

Can someone confirm it’s validity? Thanks in advance.

Hello Jenny,
I have found many sites that state the same but all seem to have the
identical lay out as your link, so they all seem to be from the same source.
I would suggest that you contact your priest, he will know if it is correct or not.
The main thing to remember is that your intent is to do as our Blessed Mother requests.
She knows what is in your heart and that through no fault of your own a situation
has arisen that requires you to complete Her requests on a following day.

Quote from site: queenofangelscatholicchurch.org/FirstFriSat#First%20Friday%20&%20Saturday
So if work or school, sickness, or another just reason prevents the Communion on a First Saturday, with this permission it may be received the following Sunday. If Communion is transferred, any or all of the other acts of the devotion may also be performed on Sunday if the person so desires.

So contact your Priest, and relax, Mary knows your heart and your intent.

May God Bless your intentions.

Please be careful with sites like the one you ask about… they do not appear to be faithful to the Church.

I am curious as to what you found on this site that might not be faithful to the Catholic Church? It looked ok to me.

I think Cor ad Cor was referring to a caution needed when searching through these sites
as some (not all) but some are not what they claim. one claims to be fully catholic whilst
it seems to be SSPX in union with a Fr Gruner, a suspended priets.
Please be careful with sites like the one you ask about… they do not appear to be faithful to the Church.
Sites “LIKE” the one you ask about… not actually that site.

The Fatima . org site seems one such site. They ignore the suspension & promote SSPX.
The Suspension.
Fr. Gruner was ordered by his ecclesiastical superior to return to the diocese of his incardination. He was also warned that failure to do so would result in his suspension “a divinis” (the loss of faculties for celebrating Mass, hearing confessions, etc.).[4] He did not undertake the action required of him, and subsequently in 1996 he was suspended from his priestly functions by the Bishop of Avellino, Italy, and then appealed the suspension.

The appeal was unsuccessful. In September 2001, the Congregation for the Clergy, stated that Father Gruner’s suspension was “confirmed by a definitive sentence of the supreme tribunal of the Apostolic Signatura.”[5][6] According to the priest himself, he has never been suspended at all.[7] Gruner was subsequently incardinated in the Archdiocese of Hyderabad, but remains suspended.[8] The Catholic Archdiocese of Toronto and the Diocese of London, Ontario, warned parishioners not to support Gruner’s organization.[9]

So there is always a need to check on the validity of the sites we look at.
as well as the information we gather.

Hope this helped.
