I am Roman Catholic and I usually go to the Ordinary Form English Mass. I plan on going to Divine Liturgy at the Greek-Melkite church tomorrow morning instead. How is it different, what can I expect, and what are some crucial things to know? I know that it is going to have quite a bit of Arabic, so what are some ways I can keep along that you could think of? I’ve been to Vespers here many times before, but I’ve never actually been to the Divine Liturgy.

I also plan on going to confession before. How are confessions different from a Roman confession? Any different prayers which are said?

Thanks a million! God bless. 😉

It’s going to be sung (just as vespers probably is), and it’s going to be standing… a lot. ISTR seeing video that some melkites prostrate at the epiclesis… so don’t be surprised if you have to.

As for confession, simply let them know you’re latin rite, and should be a non-issue.
