Wow! What wonderful advice… I feel much more confident now 🙂

I plan on doing it through them actually! The only problem is I couldn’t find the email for the local ones… The city with the abortion clinic is a two hour drive away (thanks be to God that there’s not one closer!!) so it will be quite an effort to get posters form them, but worth it.
From what I understand from looking at their website, they should have posters right there at the clinic where they are. Just check in with them when you get there and they should be able to hook you up.

I am really impressed that you are making a two hour trip to do this:thumbsup:.

Like I said before, God would nag me if I didn’t. He even gave me the day (I work Fridays and Saturdays during the school year, so it would have normally been impossible because of my money situation.) One morning I woke up and He said, stop delaying! Look, here’s a Monday holiday for you. No excuses! 😃

How could I say no?🤷 The Catholic guilt would kill me!

Here is the CBR websight that your friends may need to see in order to understand your mindset.abortionno.org/
Last of all please keep in mind this is a spiritual BATTLE, go prepared, take your scapular and rosary pray to saint Michael.
I’m excited to look at this site!! I cannot even imagine the impact of my friends who think they’re justifiably pro-choice would break down the moment the video starts. Thanks!!

It is such a spiritual battle. And it’s so complex… only God knows. For example one of the two friends admitted to me today that she has fallen away from God, and she believes in Him but has become really disillusioned. And both are not Catholic either… I know one’s Protestant and I think the doubting friend is Orthodox because of the country she’s from. But I think it would be beautiful if this is not only a way to save babies, save mothers, but also to help bring a friend back to God, and introduce a protestant to our Mother!! I’m definitely never going to forget this.

Thanks for the advice about calling them Mom, and about going to confession soon beforehand. We’re leaving at ten-ish or earlier, and your post helped me to realize that there’s an 8 am mass that day, and now I’m going to call and talk to the priest who’s celebrating, and ask for a confession either before or after mass. And for sure I’m fasting too.

I’m listening to the mp3 about exorcism now and it’s amazing! Much thanks!!😃

And thanks also for the desciptions of how women who are going for the abortion look. I’ve never heard that before, that should help us prepare a bit.

The only thing I’m worried about is that in stressful situations I tend to be a control freak or make faces. Hopefully the confession and eucharist will take this away.

Ok, update! We went yesterday, me and two friends and my mom.

There was zero business. Maybe twenty minutes after we got there a car pulled out with a young woman in the passenger seat:( but that was it. The place was dead.

We were also shocked to see, off of their property but nonetheless in front of the building, a sign from 40 days, with that bible verse somebody mentioned beforehand on one side. And on the ground next to it, ever so inconspicuous, was a Miraculous Medal:p

Also there were more honks and waves, even though we had no posters and were just saying the rosary over and over, and when the cars passed they had the pro-life liscence plates 😃 Only five times total did we get the finger, jeered at, etc.

Three times did we see one of the nurses… she walked past, way in the grass for her lunch break. When she came back we prayed Hail Holy Queen REALLY loud and she kept even farther back. The third time she came out to a car that pulled up… and we were freaking out because we thought she got in the car to talk somebody in the backseat out. But no, it was just one of her friends:shrug:

We also were approached by a man walking by, who said he knows the 40 days people (none showed until the end.) He said, keep in mind, that my wife would have died if she didn’t have an abortion. I said, really, well abortion can also kill you, about 3% of the time. And they say that up to half of all abortions result in some kind of complication, it’s even more dangerous than having a baby. He sort of shrugged me off, looked at my mom, who I guess he thought was the ringleader, and said, she’s one smart cookie!🤷

On our way out we put some of our pamphlets in the mailbox :yyeess: That should annoy them:rolleyes:

Also when we were finishing up, a lady joined us on the other side of the lot, next to the little sign from 40 days, set up her foldy chair, and held her poster, ADOPTION NOT ABORTION. She said that she comes out every day.

ANYWAY I was really scared when we were almost there… but let me tell you it’s way easier than you would think. Every Christian should do this! Imagine what a difference we could make. Besides, a few cars that we thought were about to turn in didn’t… my friends are convinced they saw us and turned around… I’m not so sure. We prayed a lot for the nurse and all of the mothers who have killed their children here. And for the baby who was just killed when we first got there. But he doesn’t need our prayers as much as his mother does…

God Bless!

…peace be with you…really…

…it pleases me to read the posts made to your thread…

…be humble, kind, and gentle in all that you do…

…pray quietly, contemplatively if you can and know how…

…avoid distraction and frivolous speech…silent prayer speaks volumes about Life…

…avoid loud and agressive people…

…when you return to school, rather than allow the conflict between you and those who have “persecuted” you to take root, you might want to approach your senior class leadership to start a “save a child” (from starvation) campaign as a senior class project…hopefully, all in your senior class can/will work together in harmony toward this end…challenge the other classes to “save a child” as well and challenge teachers and administrators to maintain the project as an on-going good will/good faith venture in charity that lasts for the life of the school…i’ve done this before with classes that i taught in a jr. high - even though the students came from very poor families, they were able to raise the funds to “adopt a child” from the philippines through organizing a few car washes and bake sales…they did this almost completely on their own…they learned a lot about the philippines in the process, and more importantly, about themselves, cooperation, and good will…if you have a rival school, you might consider challenging them to do the same…with the right kind of mind/spirit/organization/publicity perhaps a state-wide effort might be possible…

…so many children in third-world countries die from lack of nutrition, safe/drinkable water, and/or medical care - it is just as sorrowful a situation as the loss of life by through abortion…by saving a child’s life in this way, you can perhaps build bridges with others who now oppose our position on abortion, allow them to enjoy the fruits of true charity, contribute in the fight against poverty/starvation/death, and maybe allow a chance for people to change their minds about what your faith re: life is all about…

…thank you for giving me hope in the generation that is to come…

…peace—>mark
…o.p. , have you given thought to saving the children as is suggested above?..i hope/pray so…Jesus said, “…do not weep for [M]e…weep for your children…”…i wonder if, as a nation so rich in so many things, we will be judged by God harshley in the sins of omission and allowed so many children to die because of our lack of charity…the story of lazarus the beggar come to mind…i will be leaving c.a.f. soon…it would give me hope that the c.a.f. site can does accomplish good things if you and your friends have already begun to organize to save children in third world countries…peace—>mark
