Update:

According to the doctor, surgery went well! šŸ™‚ Amazingly, I am in incredibly little pain and have more mobility than I thought I would. I haven’t even had to take any pain pills. So a huge thank you to all who have prayed for me here!

However, please please please pray for the woman who has what originally would have been my time slot for surgery. Hers is today. Yesterday I spoke to my doctor (who will also perform this surgery), and she is very concerned about her.

Due to privacy issues I will of course never know how things turn out with her, but I am certain prayer never goes to waste.

Great news! Praise be to God!

Prayers go out to the other patient.

Glad to hear your news!

Saying a prayer for the other patient.

**Lord, make me an instrument of your peace,
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy;

O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.

For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

Amen.**

A big thank you to all who prayed for me. I came through this surgery with flying colors, and the most painful part of it all was having the IV put in. I haven’t even had to take a single pain pill, not one!

Thank you also to those who prayed for the other woman. We will never know this side of heaven how her story turned out, but I am sure God has blessed her either in body or soul or both. šŸ™‚

I have my first visit and examination with an oncologist today. PET scan is scheduled for Monday.

Please pray that the cancer has not spread. The last time I asked for prayers here on CAF, nobody prayed for me. 😦
Praying.

Please be assured I pray every day for the intentions of all CAF members, although I do not always post responses on the threads.

Update:

Met with my oncologist for the post-op appointment, and the biopsy shows no cancer whatsoever!!! šŸ™‚

However, I have a pre-cancerous condition, and we will be keeping an eye on that.

Thanks so much to all for your prayers. This worked out better than I could have imagined it would.

Kay Cee, this is wonderful news! I am so glad to hear this! You must be tremendously relieved! I am sending up prayers of gratitude to God for this superb outcome!

Lord, have mercy.
Christ, have mercy.
Lord, have mercy.

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women
And blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
Pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit,
As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be world without end. Amen.

Just finished calling my HMO, and guess what? Now they’re not even sure I have cancer at all! šŸ™‚

The doctor wants to do another, most extensive biopsy because she says she can’t completely rule out cancer. I am waiting for an appointment for that.

Meanwhile, I am also waiting for the results of the PET scan, which I should get this morning.

There is no way I can express enough gratitude to those of you here who have prayed for me. šŸ™‚ I am asking for continued prayers that this second biopsy turns out to be benign.
PET scan shows everything normal! šŸ™‚

I know you said in your last post to stop praying for you and to pray for this other person; however, I want to send Our Heavenly Father a prayer of apology and thanksgiving because of forgetfulness to say ā€œthank Youā€ to Our Lord for all the blessings He pours on us and we do not even realize it.

I also many times pray without posting.

Apology and Thanksgiving Prayer
:signofcross:
Heavenly Father,
Creator of all and source of all goodness and love,
please look kindly upon us,
as we ask for forgiveness for not giving You thanks.
Please receive our heartfelt apology for the lack of gratitude.
Remind us at all times that You are always worthy of our thanks.

Thank You, Heavenly Father,
for all the graces and blessings
You have bestowed upon us:
our faith and religious heritage;
the Priests who bring us the Sacraments;
our life, food and shelter;
our health, the love we have for one another;
our family and friends.
Thank You for those things You so generously give us
…and of which we are not even aware.
FONT=&quot]Dear Father, in Your infinite generosity, please grant us the grace of having
…less ā€œgive meā€ and more gratitude throughout the coming
…years so that we may be aware that anything from You is good
…for You turn the ā€œbadā€ into blessings for us.
Please Lord, grant us the grace of not forgetting that we can thank You
…over and over again for the same gift – and if we
…forget, may our Guardian Angel remind us.
Thank You, Lord.
I Love You, Lord.
Amen… …by Luz MarĆa

Hail Mary,
full of grace,
the Lord is with Thee,
blessed are Thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of Thy womb,
Jesus.

Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.
:signofcross:
Let Nothing Disturb You
Let nothing disturb you,
Let nothing frighten you,
All things are passing away:
God never changes.

Patience,
Obtains all things,
Whoever has God
Lacks nothing:
God alone suffices.
