Fish Eaters Gone?

Well this ruined my night; that was hands down my favorite website for traditional Catholic info. It was so awesome. I will miss it dearly. 😦
 
It’s crashed on and off for a few weeks Someone got on there and posted enormous images of a cathedral, page after page a couple of weeks ago. My guess is, when the adm got the bill, he flipped the switch. Just guessing.

The home page was a wealth of info for sure. I didn’t post on the forum though, I just saw a thread about the images issue on another forum.
 
This is very sad. Much of my initial information came from Fisheaters… I am so sorrowful for this that I might just say a Requiem for such a wonderful site! 😦

As it says “suspended”, they would be a good guess (probably the best one). And if this is the case the site can be back up without an issue later. Other possibilities;
  1. Not paying the bills (possible). The site could still come back with ease.
  2. Shut down for breaking terms of service if they are using a host provider (unlikely, I doubt fisheaters would do anything like this).
Shame the site is suspended though. But I wouldn’t write them off just yet.

I was surprised that the forum owners didn’t immediately ban that guy for posting all those photos. He was obviously up to something other than just posting pictures.

It was a sick joke imo
 
According to their forum posts, they were the victim of a Denial of Service attack and the site administrator took their website offline while he traced and blocked the source of the disturbance.
 
It’s down… I think… at least it doesn’t work for me… WHAT’S HAPPENING!?

Yes, it was working for me earlier and I am now getting the same message. Clearly there is a problem with the site or it may even be under some kind of attack - I don’t know enough about these things to comment on which one it may be.
 
My guess is that what happened today is the same thing that happened yesterday, a problem with the main server (I’m not a tech guy, so I don’t know the specifics). What I do know that it doesn’t have anything to do with Fish Eaters (it’s not about bills or the image-spammer).

P.S. - I post there; it’s my favorite site on the Web (along with Ite ad Thomam).
