Fitting the 9-Day Divine Mercy Chaplet Novena in just one hour

Do you think it is okay to say the 9-day Divine Mercy Novena in just one hour? The Chaplet of the Divine Mercy is very short so this means I can pray more for it that is why I thought of this good idea to say all of the 9-days in just 1-hour. The petitions for each day of the Novena like praying for the schismatics, heretics, lukewarm souls, fervent souls, humble souls is a very good thing since these persons are in our prayers.

In theory, each 5-decade Chaplet can take less than 7 minutes so multiply this by 9 (days) gives you around 63 minutes
 
What would be the point? Prayers aren’t intended to be done in a sprint, cramming as many as possible into a short amount of time.
 
Nothing official but I would think that would defeat the purpose of the devotion. We turn our minds and hearts to the Lord daily… The granting of intentions is a happy result, or not granted for a reason God alone has.
I’d stick with the format of nine days. It’s not a magic formula. It’s pattern of devotion to enrich us. Peace.
 
A novena is prayer made over the course of nine days.
It demonstrates perseverance in prayer.
 
There is such a thing as the 9 Hour Novena to the Infant Jesus of Prague.

It can be done in one day, but I believe it is for “emergencies” only.

The point is you can pray more for the intentions for the schismatics, heretics, humble men, poor souls in Purgatory, etc. with your good intentions of course.

Padre Pio was said to recite 35++ Rosaries in a Day, so why not try to pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet Novena by saying the specific intentions daily?

I think we’re talking about 2 different things.
the thread title suggests “fitting them into one day”.
Not the offering of multiple devotions.

So pianistclare, do you think is it okay to pray all the 9-Day Divine Mercy Chaplet Novena with their corresponding intentions, like for the schismatics, heretics, poor souls in Purgatory etc etc in an hour or maybe throughout the day if you are busy

There is no such thing as “rules” that could stop us from doing so, isn’t it? In addition, do you think it is also meritorious to pray all the 9-Day Intentions everyday?

Our Lord Jesus said to St. Faustina to pray the Chaplet as much as possible…

Of course not. BUT the original question is framed in such a way that it makes the reader think that a person is trying to cram in lots of prayers in the hopes of doing something “really holy”. Which is not advised. Any prayer is holy. Even ONE SINGLE prayer that is prayed very well.
One can pray an Our Father for all the people of the earth, and it is heard. We do it at Mass all the time in the prayer intentions. Of course the entire world needs to pray MORE.
I’m pointing out that one should not confuse quantity of prayer with quality of prayer.
I have no doubt whatsoever that Padre Pio’s ardent prayers were holy. But he was a living Saint after all.
If your original question was a genuine question, there is my answer. If you simply wanted to make a point…then maybe it should not have been framed as a question.
Many thought you really sought answers.

As someone said, do whatever you want. 🤷
