Repent your sins
Confess Jesus is Lord
Be baptized

I generally hear this sort of thing from Baptists and other Fundamentalists.

Seems that Christs constant command “Go and sin no more” should be attached to that somewhere.

I don’t know what they think. For my part, I would ask how one repents sins one hasn’t committed?

That’s what the “Altar Call” is for.

Well I’ve heard of 2 different versions (and variations of each).
This one, I’ve seen used by the ‘Church of Christ’

•                  Hear the Gospel of Christ

•                  Believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God

•                  Repent of all his past sins

•                  Confess that Christ is God's Son

•                  Be baptized for the remission of sins

This one, Baptists mostly use, I think :

1. acknowledge that you have sinned
2. realize that there is a penalty for your sin
3. acknowledge that Christ paid the penalty of sin for you
4. acknowledge that Christ wants to give you the free gift of eternal life
5. believe in Christ and ask Him to be your Savior

Don’t get off topic. If you want to start a different thread, move on. But let me say something on the subject you guys are debating. Christ died for all sins, not some, or partial, ALL sin. But, in order to receive forgiveness for sins we must join in with Christ suffering by first, skipping over the details, repenting of our sins as we recognize them. If we have gravely offended God, we still have to make reparation for those sins. That is where purification comes into play. This gets into the doctrine of purgatory and NOT what this thread is about.

Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ, Christian Church would be the ones I know.

Yup. And Baptists, like the ones I mentioned, among others.

But Baptists are not saved. They don’t believe in baptism necessary for salvation.
