I agree with 1 and 3. With regard to the rest of them, he doesn’t know what he is talking about. His analysis is superficial and seems like it was done by a junior high student.

I agree with 1 and 3 also. The rest shows more smear than the actual truths.

I did read on the articlce of sex abuse in public schools which amazes me that a secular newspaper would put out such infromation in the firsr place. But we all kow how that goes. Start a fire, then put it out in a 30 to 60 day period.

But if it’s religious, especially in Judeo-Christianity, the secular press loves to smear half-truths and leave the gaspipe flowing over the fire by bombarding the information to the public on a near daily basis for years.

Does the Washington post have a multitude of freemasons in their organization?

This surprises me. It seems to me that the secular media reports endlessly about kidnapped kids, missing kids, Amber alerts, kids killed by convicted sex offenders, and so on. When is there not an on-going story about a child believed to be the victim of a sexual predator (-who, by the way, is assumed NOT to be a priest)???

I’m in agreement with the other posters. I support points 1 and 3, and am shocked that they actually printed point #3. It is hard to believe that the author accepts point #3 as truth, but then somehow comes to the conclusion that there is not media bias against the Church. The bias against the Church is definitely there. That being said, I do believe there may be serious problems in how the Church authorities have handled the scandal.
 
I think its absurd to say there is no bias.

As a Catholic I am grateful to news reporters who have brought up abuse cover ups. Its obvious that there was a problem that needed to be fixed immediately and sins to atone for. All Catholics should be grateful for bringing it to light. The Church needs honest criticism when her members and leaders are not living up to their calling.

But, that being said, it is disgraceful the way that some members of the media have delighted in every single case of abuse that has occurred a half century ago on the other side of the world and painted all priests as deviants simply because they are celibate.

At the same time, they ignore abuse and cover ups that occur in other institutions. Yes there is a bias. Its a fact.
