Fixing our sin?

Catholic teachings tell us that our sins have consequences. Sometimes we can make retribution to the people we have hurt. We can pay a fine, we can apologize, we can ask for forgiveness, we can promise not to do that sin again. But there is absolutely nothing we can do to erase our mistakes, that is why we must trust - that despite our sinful human natures, eventually God can make things work out for the best. This is the whole point of Jesus Christ suffering on the cross and dying for our sins. You are no good to others if you become consumed by your own sinfulness, dwelling on all your mistakes. You need to trust in the mercy of Christ, learn from your mistakes, and move on with life. This is the resurrection, becoming a new person in Christ.

How do we fix the evil we’ve brought into the world?
By making reparation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and to the Immaculate Heart of Mary we can make up for the evil we and the world have done to them. Do good and avoid evil for the love of God. Pray and do penance for the love of God, in reparation for your sins and for the conversion of poor sinners. God bless you.
