Yes, because A. We think it’s funny, and B. That’s how rumors get started. If someone flirts with me, someone else witnesses it, I don’t tell my husband, and then he hears about it from someone else he may doubt my trustworthiness.

There’s flirting, and then there’s someone who’s coming on to you. Either way, I don’t tell my husband, because it doesn’t concern him when he sees it. He knows I’m quite capable of dealing with someone who’s coming on to me. Still, if someone bothered me and wasn’t taking my hints to cut it out, he’d step in.

No after meeting my best friend who thinks everyone is flirting with her. Some people see flirtation where none is there in my opinion.
Mary.

No, because at my age, I’d probably forget it happened before I had a chance to tell him.

Yes, it’s funny!

Not in a making-fun-of sort of way, but a can-you-believe!?! 🙂

If it was a person who I knew and was likely to see again, I think I probably would let him know. Most the people who flirt openly with me though are strangers that I’ll probably not see again. I wouldn’t tell my husband in that case unless the flirter’s behavior was especially humorous.

I did not have the problem of total strangers flirting with me when I was single!

I would be more disturbed if men I knew were flirting with me than if strangers flirt with me. At least the strangers don’t know that I’m married! (Well, they probably do right now since I’m clearly pregnant.)

interesting read.

to add on. If you are likely to see that person again and again would you let the ‘flirter’ know you have told your spouse 😛

I would probably let the flirter know how completely in love with my spouse I am and hope he gets the hint.

Probably not. Instead I would tell let The Husband tell him himself.

I told my wife about a particular incident that happened recently in connection with where I work. (the woman works for the same organization but it was the first time we crossed paths)

I said, “Twenty years ago, I would have been flirting too. Now my goal is to find out how she can help me in my job.” 😛

“She’ll still consider it flirting,” my wife replied.

My husband and I disagree on this subject, but Yes, I think you should tell your spouse when it happens.

He says at his age (47) he finds it flattering when a woman flirts with him. I feel if the person knows you are married, or in a committed relationship, it is disrespectful. That’s just me.

Can’t it be all of the above? It is flattering when someone flirts with you, it is disrespectful if the person knows you’re married, and you should tell your spouse.

I say don’t tell.

If someone was flirting with my wife and I knew the person, I’d probably want to punch them (not that I would, but I’d be angry), so it’s better if I just don’t hear about it. If it’s someone I don’t know, I’d still rather not hear about it.

If someone was flirting with me…um…I’m probably too dense to notice anyway.
