Florida kindergartners to cheer gay history month?

Broward County:

-The 18th most populous county in the U.S.
-The only county outside the NE in which Italians are the largest ethnic-group.
-Hasn’t voted for a Republican since 1988.
-Largest religious denomination: Catholic

Bad news bears 😦

I hope anyone on here who might be from the area is putting their children through Catholic school. I went through public school for all my education, and quite frankly, I consider it nothing less than the work of the Holy Spirit that I’m a faithful practicing Catholic. It’s going to be harder and harder for that to be the case for the younger generations behind me (at least in public school).

Have hope. It’s not like faithful Catholics are not going to respond to this in some way. That’s why we’re seeing some Catholic parents home-schooling. God always has a remnant.

I hope they do but Catholics are not our only concern. This move—to ‘honor’ LGBT history annually—will increase the emphasis given to the young that homosexuality is ‘normal’ and that society’s ‘real’ problem lies with people who think there is something wrong with it.
 
They don’t want it perceived as normal. They want it perceived as superior.

The parents need to form a group to petition the school board. This is nothing more than advocating a political cause. The purpose of education is the pursuit of truth, not political advocacy. :mad:

What are you talking about? It’s fairly common to dedicate day/week/month x to y minority group to showcase how they mattered too.

Yes, and the Church has said as much. This is happening on all fronts - the push to make it the “new normal.” Like I said. Have hope. God will change things, along with the remnant He always has to deal with such things.

Think of it as the title of an actual Catholic Radio show called “Putting on the Mind of Christ.” The Church will always face challenges, this is just the current flavor. As long as we speak up, this will never succeed.

I’m a little sceptical about what this articles claiming, but yes. It’s very silly. But no where in this article does it imply ‘kindergärtners’ will be taught gay stuff. Does it?

When homosexuals first started “coming out” forty years ago, they said all they wanted was to be left alone. Now we are required to celebrate it, so just wait.

Thank you for this post, I have forwarded this info to some parents that live in this area and to make them aware of what is going on. I homeschool my children, but I am concerned with the parents that don’t have a choice and cannot afford a Catholic education.

Only “age-appropriate” gay stuff, I’m sure… Perhaps they will have rainbow flags explained to them, or make their own. Gotta start somewhere, right?
