So lately I’ve been noticing that I can’t seem to focus my mind during prayer. My mind wanders off to everything but the mysteries while praying the rosary, can’t hold a thought in my head during other prayers, including after receiving Eucharist, etc. Any ideas on how I can get my mind to stay on-track?

try listening to some classical music.

I reccomend the following:

Chris, your problem is a common one. And it is exactly the reason why Catholics use statues and other sacramentals… in prayer. :yup: They help us to focus.

Mother Angelica (of EWTN) calls them… “holy reminders”.

I would recommend that for praying the Rosary… you might wish to use large, colorful pictures of the Mysteries. Or… perhaps, pray in front of a favorite statue of Our Lord, or Our Lady.

And the BEST suggestion of all… pray before the Blessed Sacrament. Especially if your parish offers Adoration. 👍

God bless.
