He who owns the seeds owns the world.

Economics is more than a science; it is also an art. I am still trying to put the pieces of this puzzle together. I will start with a statement made by our ambassador to the UN under the Clinton Administration. She said that food is a weapon, and we intend to use it! Wow! Who benefits from this policy? What incentive does the UN have in implementing this policy?

FDR said that nothing in politics is a coincidence. All the talk of NAFTA and free trade may just be rationalizations. In business we use to say that the deeper the bull **** the fatter the commission!

The IMF is destroying the dairy farmers in Jamaica. The US government is subsidizing the production of dried milk and shipping it to Jamaica at below the cost of production. Why? Does this action fit into the goal of using food as a weapon? This is not free trade.
Who has the self-interest of world power?

I thought that this was going to be about a college dorm food fight. Since it isn’t, I guess I don’t know what you are talking about.

subsidizations are a powerful tool of governments which in my eyes are supposed to be very limited and small. But from a pure economical prospective, if you live in Jamaica would you buy dry milk for $2/lb or $3/lb

Food is a weapon indeed; Just be aware of what you eat and read those labels!
Keep thy triglycerides in control.

Nobody ever has to take loans from the IMF- however, once you do the IMF is well within its rights to place conditions that dictate what you do until said loans are paid back. It’s called protecting your investment.

If Jamaicans wanted to keep their dairy industry afloat they could- apparently they value cheap milk preferable.

I want to decrease the demand for food products from Communist China and other communist countries. Therefore, I want to influence your expectations about the food from these countries. Communists have no business ethics!

Communist China has been shipping contaminated honey into the United States and Canada for a long time. By some miracle Canada found out about it. The USDA is a watch dog that does not bark.

Communist Vietnam sends us catfish that are raised in cages. Most of these caged catfish have a disease. When you buy the catfish filets in the supermarket, you do not know the country of origin, and you cannot spot the diseased catfish. I get my catfish from Mississippi.

I refuse to eat crayfish at Piccadilly. The crayfish come from Communist China. I only eat Louisiana crayfish.

When I am eating out, I always ask, “Where is the country of origin?” Additionally, I refuse to buy any food from Communist countries like China when I am the supermarket.

Vote with your dollars!
