Food questions

I was taught that fish was not considered Meat by the Church because the Church defined meat as the flesh of warm blooded land animals. Now why is that? In Science class, we learned that there was 3 classifications: Plant, Mineral and Animal.

Also I was told that candy (jelly beans, gum, perhaps mints) was not considered food.

If my information is incorrect please correct me and tell me why the things are defined the way that they are?

As are peppers but we use them as veggies. This is the gov’t action I was referring to.

bit of stretch, making it count as a veggie, but I would think it would only be good to do that if it was all-natural. Most ketchup is full of sugar and corn syrup:shrug: “real” ketchup taste so much better:thumbsup:
