Foot-washing Baptists

this came up in a casual RCIA discussion after class. One person said some members of her mostly Baptist family, referred to other relatives as “foot-washing Baptist” but was unable to define what that term meant. any Baptist on this board who can tell me what this term means? It sounds like someone committed to a strict moral rule of living, but I don’t know that is a guess.
 
Some Baptists, mostly those who regard themselves as fundamentalists, observe foot washing as a practice to be observed before taking the Lord’s Supper. They literally wash each others’ feet, typically men washing men’s feet and women washing women’s feet. See John 13:5-9.
 
“Foot-washing” Baptists practice foot-washing as a sacrament or “ordinance” as they call it. They tend to be extremely strict and fundamentalist types. They are probably more commonly called “Primitive” Baptists although I’m not sure if all Primitive Baptists practice foot-washing. You can read an FAQ about them here: pb.org/pbfaq.html
 
good website, thanks, interesting that they also use unleavened bread and fermented wine in the Lord’s Supper. historical note was very helpful.
