Beautiful. It’s good to see the faith is kept alive in England. Last time I checked, the Catholic population in England was around 10%, and in some parts of Lancashire it is around 20-25%. My grandparents were both Catholics from England, so I have many connections there and my English identity is a part of who I am.

The Catholic population in England is extremely high for a ‘Protestant’ country (more people attend Sunday Mass in Catholic Churches than people attend Church of England services!). Interesting fact: a large proportion of the British aristocracy is Catholic and never became Anglican, so they have always been Catholic. I wonder if this has anything to do with the fact that they owned so much land and were so powerful that the government never took such forceful action to convert them?
