This is a thread specifically for football picks. I found that a number of individuals on this site had an interest in the sport. This would’ve been Back Fence or Water Cooler on the prior setup. This thread is not about any of the issues (Kaepernick, anthem, halftime shows), just merely that we can pick the games each week for fun and see what happens! Have fun!

Every week I pick the entire week, and I was happily surprised to be wrong in some situations. I’ll be honest and tell you what my picks were:

Texans beat the Jaguars*

Falcons beat the Bears
Raiders beat the Titans
Rams beat the Andrew Luckess-Colts
Panthers beat the 49ers
Packers beat the Seahawks
Cowboys beat the Giants
Bengals beat the Ravens*

Monday:
Saints beat the Vikings*
Chargers beat the Broncos*

The hardest game to pick this week was: Baltimore/Cincinnati - wasn’t sure who was playing, and nobody expects A.J. Green and the guys to be shut out.

Biggest Surprise: The Browns made their tilt against Pittsburgh a real game.

Happiest Surprise: The Chiefs beat up Pats.

Ezekiel Elliott getting shut down and destroying the Cowboys’ gamelan. / The Falcons having their way with the Packers

Happiest Surprise: The Raiders are contenders.

For the past five or six years I have set up an excel spreadsheet that tracks week to week and cumulative percentages for this type of picking and tracked it as a contest at work. I used 1 as correct and 0 as incorrect. I then set up formula boxes. Then I made a sheet on each person.

Just an idea.
