And today I was kind of wishing Big Ben had retired. Yoi.
Some thoughts:The Big Ten looks very strong in the rankings, but I think Wisconsin and Penn State may be overrated. Wisconsin also has an easy schedule.
Overall, it looks like Alabama and the rest. If they face Clemson again in the final, the Tide will win and should have won it all last year.
Can’t you just hear Myron Cope critiquing the Jacksonville game after Ben threw 5 picks? Would have been a commentary for the ages! And today I was kind of wishing Big Ben had retired. Yoi.
Yea, gotta love Old Man River!Steelers took down the undefeated Chiefs, thanks to James Harrison!
Hey Denise, how’s this for a Superbowl matchup? Steelers vs. Eagles. The heck with whatever warm water village they are supposed to have it in. Just play the game in early February, 12 degrees Fahrenheit, 14 inches of snow on the ground, in Happy Valley (for the uninitiated, Penn State University Stadium), State College, PA, right in the middle of Pa, 110,000 people, serving only Philly Cheesteaks sandwiches, Primanti Brothers sandwiches, and Iron City and Schmidts beer. (and maybe some sausage and pepper delights). 50% discount on food and beer for any fan who shows up in shirtsleeves. It would be one for the ages.It was a triple yoi!
Penn State really tested OSU’s mettle, but J.T. Barrett’s excellent second half performance was the key to their comeback victory. Their defense was also impressive by shutting down Barkley. Other than the 36 yd TD run, he ended up with only 44 total yds on the ground on 21 carries.OSU squeezes out a win in epic fashion in what was the best game of the entire season.
I hope you’re right. PSU will have to win their remaining games in impressive fashion. But even if they do, and still not make the playoffs, they would most likely go to play in the Rose Bowl, … except that this year it’s hosting one of the playoff games, so can’t even look forward to that possibility! But PSU makes it close enough where they have a playoff case even with the loss.
