I have a calculus midterm tomorrow 6:30PM-7:30PM. I have studied really hard for it, but, I am afraid they will through in something we barely covered or that I would be too tired by that hour and make a lot of stupid mistakes. I also have a Spanish midterm Friday morning which I will begin studying for tomorrow since I’ve been busy with calculus. I just do not want all my hard work to go to waste. I also committed a grave since today when I was hoping I would not slip up this week. I can only get to confession on Saturdays and I cannot help but feel sometimes that God would make me to terribly on a test as punishment for my sins. I’m trying, I just fail sometimes. So, pray that my efforts will pay off.

Also, if you can, join me in thanksgiving for a friend of mine who has been suffering from a mental illness who I have found out not too long ago that he has gotten much better. I wish I could contact him, but, for some reason I cannot and I just wish I could tell him that I’ve been praying for him and that I’m thanking God he is better.

Prayers said for you that you do your best on your Calculus test and also your Spanish test. God is ever merciful and forgiving to those who repent. Get to confession as soon as you can. Happy to hear you friend is doing well with mental illness.

In thanksgiving to God for his improvement,
(we pray to the Lord)
Lord, hear our prayer.

God Bless,

Mary.

*O most beautiful Flower of Mount Carmel, Fruitful Vine, Splendor of Heaven, who brought forth the Son of God still remaining a Virgin, assist us in this necessity. O Star of the Sea, help us, and show us that you are our Mother.

O Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and earth, we humbly ask you from the depths of our heart to help us in this necessity. There are none who can withstand your power. O show us that you are our Mother.

O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee. Sweet Mother, we place this cause in your hands. Amen*

How did you do on your exam? God doesn’t normally punish in that way. That is not usually how he works. God’s punishment for our sins is the sin itself and its effects. He allows us to experience the effects of our sin. When we sin it hurts us and has effects not only on us but on others. So your test results will be based on things like how well you studied. Not on whether you committed a sin or not. Unless the sin directly effected your test in some way. Like if you stole the teacher’s answers.

My chemistry one was a disaster. Thank you for the prayers. I really need them now.
