Lord, You invite all who are burdened to come to you. Allow Your healing Hand to heal. Touch his soul with Your compassion for others; touch his heart with Your courage and infinite Love for all; touch his mind with Your wisdom,
and may his mouth always proclaim Your praise. Teach him to reach out to You in all his needs, and help him to lead others to You by his example. Most loving Heart of Jesus, bring his health in body and spirit that he may serve You with all his strength. Touch gently this life which you have created, now and forever.

God, we know only you can help vanquish the pain he feels. We plead for peace and serenity for him as he fights off the pain that is all consuming. Send Your hand down to him and fill him with Your strength. He cannot take this pain any longer without your help! Release him from this hold and restore him. We trust in You to give him the strength to join his suffering with Christ for the salvation of souls. We pray that his pain will be taken away, if it is Your will. We pray that this pain will not hold him down because he has the Lord at his side. In Jesus’ name, amen.
