A prayer on behalf on Deacon Julio for his future ordination to the priesthood.
A Prayer for Priests
By St. Therese of Lisieux
O Jesus, eternal Priest,
keep your priests within the shelter of Your Sacred Heart,
where none may touch them.
Keep unstained their anointed hands,
which daily touch Your Sacred Body.
Keep unsullied their lips,
daily purpled with your Precious Blood.
Keep pure and unearthly their hearts,
sealed with the sublime mark of the priesthood.
Let Your holy love surround them and
shield them from the world’s contagion.
Bless their labors with abundant fruit and
may the souls to whom they minister
be their joy and consolation here
and in heaven their beautiful and
everlasting crown. Amen.

A PRAYER FOR PRIESTS
Keep them, I pray Thee, dearest Lord,
Keep them, for they are Thine.
Thy priests whose lives burn out before
Thy consecrated shrine.
Keep them, for they are in the world
Though from the world apart;
When earthly pleasures tempt, allure
Shelter them in Thy heart.
Keep them, and comfort them in hours
Of loneliness and pain,
When all their life of sacrifice
For souls seems but in vain.
Keep them, and O remember, Lord,
They have no one but Thee,
Yet, they have only human hearts,
With human frailty.
Keep them as spotless as the Host,
That daily they caress,
Their every thought and word and deed,
Deign, dearest Lord, to bless.
Amen

Dear God,
Please bless your deacon, and future priest. We are grateful for people like him, who want to sacrifice their lives for serving you! We need more like him. Bless and preserve him from evil, for satan runs rampant in this world, with only one wish: to destroy the things of God. Shelter him in your hands, and lead him, if you wish, to a wonderful long life of Serving You!

***Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death
Amen.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.
Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen.
