For a friend's conversion

Please pray for a friend of mine. He’s 15 years old and like my little brother.

I’ve brought him to Mass 5 times so far, and he’s considering converting. He was raised baptist and most recently had been attending a non-denominational Christian megachurch (which he doesn’t like anymore because he feels people go there to be seen). He’s already baptized so would most likely make his First Reconciliation and Communion then go through Confirmation class.

He’s by no means catechized yet. His knowledge goes as far as what I’ve explained and pointed out during Mass. He’s very reverent during the consecration, but I don’t think fully understands the Real Presence (then again, how many Catholics actually do? It concerns me how few people actually recognize Christ’s body, blood soul & divinity in the Eucharist).

He’s had small doubts about the faith, and while his stepmother is a lapsed Catholic, his family isn’t very enthusiastic. We live in the Bible belt where Catholics are considered pagans and satanic, so there’s that too, lol. At least he knows we aren’t

I guess I’m asking for you to pray for his conversion, and for that of all our separated brethren. Thank you!

Lord, please draw this young many ever toward your Sacred Heart by a foretaste of heaven’s light. Let this light permeate the darkness in this world which competes against your will, that this soul persist toward the true faith. Send angels to protect him and help with this cause. Have mercy, Lord, and grant him graces for faith, hope, love, and joy. Our Lady, angels, and saints, pray with us. Amen.
