Finally took down my horrible blog, rejoicing. But my family is at war. My (divorced) brother is flying in from Hawaii with his girlfriend. My sister is staying in Utah. I live near my parents now and my son lives with him. I haven’t seen my brother in at least 10 years, probably more. There is jealousy, animosity: and my parents always take his side. I have determined it would be best for me to stay at home, but I worry about how this will affect my son. He is only 21 and dependent on my parents. He goes to college and has a girlfriend my mother hates. I feel I should be there for him but I literally fear physical violence from my brother and know I will be menaced and abused. If I’m not there they may turn on my son. My family is anti-Christian, but always celebrate Christmas anyway as a “family” event.
Difficult waters. I thought I heard my mother talking in her dreams about something to do with the police (this may sound odd but we are all mentally ill except my son), so I am genuinely afraid.
Difficult waters. I want to be able to stay at home and worship peacefully, and that my son will be safe without me. My mother has already threatened me that “I BETTER be there.” She spends weeks preparing food, especially cookies which I can’t eat any more. She threatened me the same time re: Thanksgiving dinner with friends of theirs (and my son and his girlfriend). I don’t like to be threatened twice.
Please pray for us all, especially for greater holiness in myself and conversion of my mother and father and the rest of the family. I have always encouraged faith in my son, but he has been around my father a lot lately…
Jesus, stay with me.
Praise the newborn King!
