Please pray for Tim, the principal of my son’s Catholic school. He’s only 40 and has two sons, one in 7th grade (he’s autistic and absolutely brilliant) and one in 5th (a great kid in my son’s class).

He was just diagnosed with skin cancer that has spread to a lymph node. And he and his wife are having troubles with getting his insurance switched so he can go to the only regional hospital that can offer them genuine hope of recovery.

The kids at the school are praying a novena to St. Peregrine for him, and the parish is also praying for him. But I wanted to “spread the net” a little further.

Praying for Tim. I pray he will be able to get the health insurance issue resolved and that he will have the best and wisest doctors to treat him.

Praying for his family as they deal with his diagnosis.

Ask God to relieve me of this sickness, if it be his Holy Will. Plead with the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of Sorrows, whom you loved so tenderly and in union with whom you have suffered the pains of Cancer, that she may help me with her powerful prayers and loving consolation.

But if it should be God’s Holy Will that I bear this sickness, obtain for me courage and strength to accept these trails from the loving hand of God with patience and resignation, because he knows what is best for the salvation of my soul. St. Peregrine, be my friend and patron. Help me to imitate you in accepting suffering, and to unite myself with Jesus Crucified and the Mother of Sorrows, as you did. Father of goodness and love, hear our prayers for the sick members of our community and for all who are in need. Amid mental and physical suffering may they find consolation in your healing presence. Show your mercy as you close wounds, cure illness, make broken bodies whole and free downcast spirits. May these special people find lasting health and deliverance, and so join us in thanking you for all your gifts. We ask this through the Lord Jesus who healed those who believed. Amen.

MORE IMPORTANT “STOP THE CANCER” IF WE HAVE TO HAVE POPULATION CONTROL, TAKE THE CHILDREN HOME YOU LOVE WHO ARE MISFORTUNED AND IN NEED OR TAKE THOSE FULL OF HATE WHO WANT TO KILL.
