Courage is an apostolate dedicated to helping Catholics with same-sex attractions live a life of chastity in obedience to the Magisterium of the Catholic Church.

I am beginning the process of forming a new chapter in Halifax in Atlantic Canada. So far, I am the only member. The Archbishop’s permission is needed. A chaplain will be needed. Most of all, grace will be needed - in order to spread the love of God, in holiness. Please pray that broken hearts and wounded souls will join and be healed by love of chastity.

Please pray for the successful creation of this chapter, which will be dedicated to the salvation of souls through the intercession of the holy Theotokos, ever-virgin Mary, mother of the afflicted and joy of all who sorrow.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen

Blessed is the Kingdom of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

Saint Joseph, pray for us!

What a leader you are starting the formation process of a new Chapter of Courage.I always admire those with the initiative to get things done.
Prayers for permission from the Archbishop, and a great chaplain for this ministry said.

May this be a successful, healing, ministry with many members who find support from each other.
May you be blessed abundantly through this project.

Mary Mother of God,
pray for us.

Mary.

I will definitely pray for you, and your success. Courage has never been anywhere close to where I’ve lived. I understand its a relatively new ministry, but it seems to be the only answer to ppl struggling with ssa. People reccomend that you check out Courage, and for me, they’re not there.

So, please pray for Courage in general. And pray for all the ppl that need Courage, or would go to Courage, but can’t. Thanks again though for helping found one, that is wonderful to hear, and I will pray for you!

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Youre a HERO!! Thank God for you!! I will definitely be praying for your efforts! I see Dignity , and other groups like them who claim to be Catholic, on the web all the time, but they are such a false witness to the true teaching of the Catholic Church. They are simply leading people astray from the Word of God. I pray that your efforts are fruitful in helping those struggling with same sex attraction and that your light will shine on the errors of false groups like Dignity and expose their lies.

God bless!!!

Basilian- Thank you and God bless you.

I will definitely Pray for you

By the way, is this “Courage” you are talking about?

Through the prayers of our holy fathers, Lord Jesus Christ our God, have mercy on us and save us! Amen.

Everyone: I am not a hero! God has taken me, a sinner, and allowed me to die and be risen with Christ in Baptism. This is our life! This is our call. We do what we must. Glory to God for all things.

That is the one, goforgoal.

If you are trying to start a new foundation somewhere, then I strongly recommend praying to St. Joseph for help. Today is his feast day, so it’s the perfect time. This is what St. Teresa of Avila wrote about taking him as a patron-

** ”I *took for my advocate and lord the glorious Saint Joseph and commended myself earnestly to him; and I found that this my father and lord delivered me both from this trouble and also from other and greater troubles concerning my honor and the loss of my soul, and that he gave me greater blessings than I could ask of him. I do not remember even now that I have ever asked anything of him which he has failed to grant. I am astonished at the great favors which God has bestowed on me through this blessed saint, and at the perils from which He has freed me, both in body and in soul. To other saints the Lord seems to have given grace to succor us in some of our necessities but of this glorious saint my experience is that he succors us in them all and that the Lord wishes to teach us that as He was Himself subject to him on earth (for, being His guardian and being called His father, he could command Him) just so in Heaven He still does all that he asks. This has also been the experience of other persons whom I have advised to commend themselves to him; and even to-day there are many who have great devotion to him through having newly experienced this truth.” “I wish I could persuade everyone to be devoted to this glorious saint, for I have great experience of the blessings which he can obtain from God. I have never known anyone to be truly devoted to him and render him particular services who did not notably advance in virtue, for he gives very real help to souls who commend themselves to him. For some years now, I think, I have made some request of him every year on his festival and I have always had it granted. If my petition is in any way ill directed, he directs it aright for my greater good.”

“I only beg, for the love of God, that anyone who does not believe me will put what I say to the test, and he will see by experience what great advantages come from his commending himself to this glorious patriarch and having devotion to him. Those who practice prayer should have a special affection for him always. I do not know how anyone can think of the Queen of the Angels, during the time that she suffered so much with the Child Jesus, without giving thanks to Saint Joseph for the way he helped them. If anyone cannot find a master to teach him how to pray, let him take this glorious saint as his master and he will not go astray.” (Autobiography Chapter 6).**

I think he would be a perfect advocate for Courage.

Memorare to St. Joseph
Code:
Remember, O most chaste spouse of the Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who implored your help and sought your intercession were left unassisted.
Full of confidence in your power I fly unto you and beg your protection.
Despise not O Guardian of the Redeemer my humble supplication, but in your bounty, hear and answer me. Amen.

wild thing, great inspiration and help has come today, from across Canada. Once we receive archdiocesan approval, I will dedicate this Chapter to the patronage of St. Joseph, the Theotokos, and our Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ in the Transfiguration. The Holy Family will be our constant object of veneration and requests for intercession.

Good St. Joseph, pray for us!
Blessed Theotokos, Mary, Mother of the Afflicted, and Joy of all who sorrow, pray for us!
Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, risen for our justification, have mercy on us!

👍 Fantastic!! In my prayers.

Dearest one,

My heart is overflowing with joy and your strength, and your courage and your choice to follow God’s will. I’m praying with all my soul that now that there is a seed planted, that more people come to know Christ in his perfection, and home in His church. Continue to pray and with the help of the Holy Spirit, God’s will be done. Be patient, the best things always take time, I know this for certain.

Peace remain in your heart, and zeal in your soul.

Praying that the Lord may bless you and guide you in the successful creation of this chapter.

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!

memorare to St. Joseph

Remember, O most pure spouse of the Virgin Mary, my beloved Patron, that never it has been heard that anyone invoked your patronage and sought your aid without being comforted. Inspired by this confidence I come to you and fervently commend myself to you. Despise not my petition, O dearest foster father of our Redeemer, but accept it graciously. Amen.

Prayers to the Theotokos - The Mother of God
Code:
Rejoice, O Virgin Theotokos! Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you! Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb. For you gave birth to Christ the Savior and Redeemer of our souls.

It is truly proper to glorify you, O Theotokos, the ever-blessed, immaculate, and the mother of our God. More honorable than the cherubim, and beyond compare more glorious than the seraphim; who, a virgin, gave birth to God the Word, you, truly the Theotokos, we magnify.

Beneath your compassion we take refuge, O Virgin Theotokos. Despise not our prayers in our need, but deliver us from dangers, for you alone are pure and blessed. Amen.
Prayer to St. Dymphna

Good Saint Dymphna, great wonder-worker in every affliction of mind and body, I humbly implore your powerful intercession with Jesus through Mary, the Health of the Sick, in my present need: help this new foundation of Courage, and pray and intercede for all those who will be members of this new organization. Saint Dymphna, martyr of purity, patroness of those who suffer with nervous and mental afflictions, beloved child of Jesus and Mary, pray to Them for me and obtain my request.

Saint Dymphna, Virgin and Martyr, pray for us.
Amen.
