For a peaceful inauguration and Presidential wisdom

Washington D.C. will be flooded well beyond capacity during the Presidential inauguration with protesters, security personnel, dignitaries, and ordinary spectators. I used to work there, and it is a zoo during just a normal workday.

Please join me in praying for all peoples who attend the inauguration, especially during this age of routine terrorist attacks. No matter what your political beliefs are, the Capital will be packed with innocent people, and no worthy gain was ever achieved through violence.

Please also pray that our leaders, including the incoming President will receive graces to rule wisely.

Lord, hear our prayer.

Bless also O Lord all members of Congress in their deliberations in the new session that with the help of thy wisdom all thy people may be quietly and godly governed. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.
