I pray that the bishops involved in the Extraordinary Synod of Bishops on the Family will be guided by the Holy Spirit throughout the process; that they will be both compassionate and faithful to the teachings of the Church; that they will be humble; that they will not allow personal aims or opinions to be elevated about authentic teaching; and that the faithful and and those following the Synod will not be confused on matters of faith and morals.
 
May the church move to preserve the family in all ways, we ask through the intercession of the Holy Family. Amen.
 
May the Church move forward in ways to provide more pastoral care and compassion for those struggling in the Church in irregular situations.
