Wife’s water broke last night right after going to bed. We’ve been in the hospital for about 11 hours now. This is our first child. Looks like a big baby (around 8-8.5 lbs). Still waiting… Praying that he comes safely.
 
Praying to Mary and St. Gerard for your wife and baby. Congratulations!
 
Blessed Mother, please intercede for us.
Hold the sorrowful-
Mother and love the weary, abused, neglected
or forgotten among us-
Surround and show the unwanted little souls who’ve
been aborted, the love and care they never knew in life-
Give your aid to all needing help or healing-
Assist those who are sick, in pain or suffering-
Be with those needing peace-
Console the lonely or brokenhearted-
Comfort the lost or hopeless-
Guard the unborn-
Pray for those who are dying or who have died-
Soften those with hardened hearts-
Enlighten those who do not yet see truth-
Help us be brave enough to let our hurt and anger go-
Show us the way to do the right thing-
Strengthen the fearful-
Protect those who are in danger, and
Guide us from every evil.
May all who keep your sacred commemoration
experience the might of your assistance.

Remembering you, your wife and soon-to-be-born child in my prayers before the Blessed Sacrament (going to Adoration in a half hour, will be there for two).

A tiny slip of a lady in my parish recently gave birth to a nine-pound, four-ounce bundle of joy. She and the “little” guy are doing just fine. :yup: Have confidence it will be the same with your child’s birth. Be at peace.

Little Jack was born last night at 10:30 PM after a whopping 24 hours of labor. He weighed 9 pounds. My poor wife deserves a purple heart. Praise God.

In this country it’s customary to buy the new mom a gift of gold.
