For a seeking Protestant

My Protestant husband has been looking into Catholicism for the past year. He’s convinced by most of what he’s learned, but has reached a point where he has specific questions to which he can’t find answers online. Over the past two weeks he has, more than once, politely and humbly reached out to my parish leadership and his associated Order by email to try and make an appointment so he can ask these questions. He’s having a lot of trouble getting responses. He plans to try a phone call today.

Please pray for us.
  • That Husband will proceed with this phone call and persevere in his seeking, even though the Church appears disinterested in his honest heart
  • That an enthusiastic and willing servant of God will pick up the phone
  • That Jesus will chastise the servants who appear to be rejecting their apostolate, or not, as he knows best
  • That God will bless the servant who follows through
  • My parish leadership has historically given me many similar opportunities to grow in sanctity. Please pray that I will successfully navigate the greater trial of watching it happen to someone I love.
Husband has also been reaching out to Protestants from his past, looking for rational defenses of positions he’s increasingly convinced he can no longer hold. He’s a Peacemaker and the least abrasive person you’ve ever met - I’ve seen him perform actual miracles of relationship - but those people won’t return his calls, either! Please pray that Husband will grow in strength under the heavy weight of his distress, and that the unresponsiveness of God’s people on both sides of the Tiber won’t cause him to stop seeking truth.
