For a teenager with drinking, pot, and running away issues

I work with someone who has a 17 year old son who has recently gotten into smoking pot, drinking, and running away from home. A good kid who was expected to run a 4:30 mile this year for track.

Please pray for this boy that he heals his heart (he goes on these benders when his girlfriend breaks up with him), and that he can learn how to cope in a more healthy manner.

Please also pray for his family who are having to struggle with these issues.

I feel so sorry for his parents…I’m praying for them and for him.
 
Dear Lord, we beg of you to take pity on even those who are most faithless; who live most ungodly; who live without any regard to your will. O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to heaven, especially those who are in most need of Thy mercy. Amen.

All glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit: as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
 
Heavenly Father, please rescue this 17 year old son who has been smoking pot, drinking, and running away from home.
Please help him to value himself and his life and those who love him, in such a way that he no longer seeks to ruin his life and to waste his talent even when beset with emotional difficulties.
Please grant healing to his spirit and help him to cope in a more healthy manner.

Please give courage and wisdom to his family in responding to his needs and protecting the needs of the family for peace and stability.
I ask You Father in Jesus’ name.
 
Praying very hard for him! A 17 year old who can run a 4:30 mile has some talent. It would be a shame if he wasted it.

He is apparently moving out of the family home now. He has his first job, working at a fast food place, and has not even started his first day yet. He will be moving in with a single woman who has two children, and another girl from what I’m told.

I’ve not met this boy, but apparently he is extremely good looking and this is really not helping his situation. He is, as my friend put it, a “horn dog”. And having the girls fall all over him is not helping.

It may be a good learning experience for him, or it may drag him deeper into even more sin and mess.

Thank you all for the prayers. He certainly needs them.

Oh - please pray pray pray!!! This young man was found in an alley, overdosed on Xanax. He is now in a mental hospital under observation. He will then have to go to court for possession of pot with the intent to sell.

The pain and torment this is causing his family is incredible. In four months he will be 18 and will no longer be welcome in the family home. It’s just too much for them all to bear. There are four other younger children in the home.

Please pray for this family - it breaks my heart to hear this.

Also - that they return to the Faith. They are all fallen away Catholics.

Thank you all so much for your prayers for this family - speaking to my friend yesterday just broke my heart, he is at such a loss as to what to do. And when I suggested going to Mass, he just laughed. 😦
