For a young couple and their child

I do not know their names. They just moved into the apartment above me. They are not married. They are only about 18 or 20. The child is only 1 or 1 1/2. The father’s father is involved. The mother’s parents don’t seem to be involved. I do not know anything else about their situation; however for some reason the landlord has not taken down the “for rent” sign and they have not put their name(s) on the mailbox.

I am so glad she had the baby. But I am not sure either new parent fully understands the responsibility they now have, the mother is defensive, the father seems to be struggling between wanting to try to make it work and not really knowing how. He has been abusive toward both mother and son and I pray the child comes to no harm.

Praying that they find their way.

Lord send grace and angelic help to those in this situation, that they may all be led with charity unto your Sacred Heart, now and forever. Our Lady, pray with us. Amen.
 
Tragically, this seems to be an ever more common situation in the world today as the family is gradually dissolved and assaulted. I have experienced myself, both personally and with families around me. I fervently pray for the sake of your neighbors and their family, and I extend this prayer to all those in the world with various family problems, whether unmarried families, victims of abuse, too young, impoverished, decadent, dealing with interpersonal conflicts amongst themselves, dealing with the difficulties of modern society and its hollow morality, and all other issues the modern family must endure, often with little aid (or at least little good aid). I hope and pray that all of them may be forgiven all their sins, to grow ever closer to Christ in the image of His Holy Family, a reflection of the family of the Trinity; I pray that they may rediscover the virtues and values of the Catholic sacramental vision of marriage, sexuality, children and the family life; I pray that other families, especially Catholic families, may support them directly and by providing a good example; and I pray that they may be healed and protected of all their problems and afflictions, especially abortion. I ask for the intercession of the Holy Family - the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Joseph with Our Lord, Blessed Pope John Paul II the Great, and the guardian angels of all those for whom I pray.
