For a young lady with leukemia

My daughter has a friend who is 11. The friend’s sister Megan is in 7th grade. We just learned that Megan has leukemia.

Megan’s parents are hard-working respectable people. This must be a great struggle for them, too.

This is sobering: Perhaps when we think we have problems, we should recall how much worse some others have it.

I would kindly ask that folks say a prayer for Megan and her family. Thank you.
 
Heavenly Father, please bring strength and comfort to Megan’s family
as they deal with Megan’s diagnosis of leukemia. I pray they will put their trust in God as they begin this difficult journey.
Please bring wise doctors to care for Megan and I pray for the intercession of St. Luke also. And may Megan’s guardian angel remain at her side.

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal Megan. You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into Megan’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

A Prayer for Healing Cancer

Heavenly Father, I come before you with a solemn heart and in need of your intercession. I pray that the cancer that has come into my life soon fades into a quick remission.

I believe in your capacity for miracles, and ask for this on my behalf. As we grow older, I know we become closer to the day you accept us back into your kingdom. I ask that you delay that holy union if it be your will. In your name I pray,

Dear St. Anthony, you recognized Our Lord Jesus as the Divine Healer. In your goodness and kindness, please intercede for Megan, who is suffering from leukemia. If it is God’s will, may the gift of healing be granted to her. Comfort her and her family during times of unbearable pain, and ask our Lord to grant her peace and patience in suffering.
