I have a question.

Why do Catholics not pray “For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever…”

That is a strong statement, don’t you think?
 
Lord, please touch the hearts and intellects of all atheists. Draw them unto you, so they might believe and live eternally in your presence.

Father, hear our prayers for the salvation of the world.
Grant Mercy to all souls that turned away from You.
Open their hearts and minds with Your light.

Have mercy O God on those who do not know You.
Bring them out of darkness into Your light.
May Your way be known upon Earth;
among all nations Your salvation.

Amen

We use the form found in the bible. The doxology is first found in the Didache 8.2 – the Didache being early teachings to the Apostles.
