Dear Jesus,

Please forgive all trespasses of your chosen men and women, who have been called to sustain Your Salvation plan according to their state of life and yet failed to obey Your commands faithfully. May You forgive priests, religious brothers and nuns who have committed immorality and failed to fulfill their duties of conveying Your love to the world. May You forgive Bishops who are obsessed with clericalism and snobbery. May You forgive and bless our Holy Father Pope Francis for any wrongdoings or unwise moves. May You also forgive all of us, Your humble and useless servants, who have not lived out our Faith with piety and diligence.

May Jesus also bless those who live humbly according to their Vocations. They may be tested and tried by temptations, so please help them see through all hardships and persevere in their callings.

Dear Mama Mary, who has assumed to Heaven and enjoyed eternal peace, pray for us sinners now and at the end of our earthly lives.

Dear Saints, Angels and Poor Souls in the Purgatory, pray for us.

We ask God the Father to hear our prayers through Jesus Christ Your only begotten Son.

Amen.

For their forgiveness, may they come forward and sin no more.

I hesitate to label people ‘bad’, but I know what you mean. Praying for all our priests and religious…

PRAYER TO ST. ROCH

Dear Medicant Pilgrim, you once took care of sufferers from the plague and were always ready to help others by kind service and fervent prayers. You yourself had no home and you died in a dungeon. No wonder countless invalids have confidently invoked your help.
Please pray for our Pope, bishops, religious, and priests and help us all become spiritually healthy.

Amen.

Is it St Roch’s Feast day?

Please also pray that we begin to see that the culture we (society) is sowing is the reason that we reap individuals with some of these issues. We’re being overly sexualized from an incredibly young age. We’re being told that we should be vain, lustful, prideful, subjugating, liberated to the point that nothing matters; and then we’re surprised when these paths lead somewhere dark or violent.

I pray for every scandalous priest, whether they were involved in the sex abuse scandal or just haven’t lived up to their office. I pray that they (at the very least) acknowledge that they have a problem and seek help both spiritually and psychiatric. Lay their sins before God, and allow themselves to be healed. But, and this is important, they need to make sure that they are removed from any position that puts them at risk of abusing, scandalizing, or misleading anybody, even if the hierarchy is slow to do so!

I pray for every priest who is fighting for Heaven and for the souls of their flock, but is being destroyed internally by depression, anxiety, or despair. Theirs is a fight that many of us share, with they exception that they are often far more alone or ostracized by their office. I can’t imagine being in that spot while suffering from those diseases. I pray that they find community, either with other ordained folks or just with some adult friends. I pray that they don’t fear therapy.

I pray for the millions of men, women, girls, and boys whose lives have been, are being, and will be scandalized by rampant pornography. We like to talk about jihadists, we like to talk about North Korea, white nationalists, democrats, republicans, communists, fascists, and anarchists, but the biggest threat to our lives, our freedom, our souls, and our species is quietly infiltrating our schools, advertisements, locker rooms, etc. I pray that we (again, society [but also individuals!!!] try to de-ostracize this addiction, so those who have it will seek help. If we have a loved one who’s battling heroin, we want them to confess and go to therapy; if we have a loved one who’s an alcoholic, we want them to own it, and go to therapy; if our loved one is hooked on porn, we want to hide it and shame them into oblivion.

I pray for everybody who makes themselves into an idol within our Church. Whether its a priest, religious, laymen, a group that makes idols out of the wrong aspects of our worship, etc., I pray that we remember that the Catholic Church is about the Holy Trinity and all things that point us towards It. If we make it about the aesthetics, the pomp, or all about ourselves, we are not only losing traction in our own spiritual battle, but we’re scandalizing one another.

I pray for an end to abuse, inside and outside the Church–of every form and type.

Amen

A Prayer for Priests

O loving Mother Mary, Mother of Priests, take
to your heart your sons who are close to you
because of their priestly ordination and because
of the power which they have received to carry on
the work of Christ in a world which needs them
so much. Be their comfort, be their joy, be their
strength, and especially help them to live and
to defend the ideals of consecrated celibacy.

Lord Jesus, we your people pray to You
for our priests. You have given them to us
for our needs. We pray for them in their needs.

We know that You have made them priests
in the likeness of your own priesthood. You
have consecrated them, set them aside,
anointed them, filled them with the Holy Spirit,
appointed them to teach, to preach, to minister,
to console, to forgive, and to feed us
with Your Body and Blood.

Yet we know, too, that they are one with us
and share our human weaknesses. We
know too that they are tempted to sin and
discouragement as are we, needing to be
ministered to, as do we, to be consoled and
forgiven, as do we. Indeed, we thank You for
choosing them from among us, so that they
understand us as we understand them, suffer
with us and rejoice with us, worry with us
and trust with us, share our beings,
our lives, our faith.

We ask that You give them this day the gift
You gave Your chosen ones on the way to
Emmaus: Your presence in their hearts,
Your holiness in their souls, Your joy in their
spirits. And let them see You face to face
in the breaking of the Eucharistic bread.

We pray to You, O Lord, through Mary
the mother of all priests, for Your priests
and for ours.

Through Christ Our Lord, Amen.

A Prayer for Religious Priests, Brothers, and Sisters

Heavenly Father, in your wisdom you have
called certain women and men to a life of
special consecration so that in prayerful
observance of a lifestyle of poverty, chaste
celibacy and obedience, they might be
witnesses to us that as St. Paul says,
“our true citizenship is in heaven.” Give them,
Lord, the grace of joy and perseverance
in their holy vocation.
We ask this through Christ, our Lord

:signofcross:

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

A Prayer to St. Helena, for Intercession

Holy and blessed Saint Helena, with the anguish and devotion with which you sought the Cross of Christ, I plead that you give me God’s grace to suffer in patience the labors of this life, so that through them and through your intercession and protection, I will be able to seek and carry the Cross, which God has placed upon me, so that I can serve Him in this life and enjoy His Glory ever after. Amen.

St. Helena, pray for us!

**St. Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our defence against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do thou,
O Prince of the heavenly hosts,
by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan,
and all the evil spirits,
who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls. Amen…
