Lord please hear our prayers for all parents who are trying to be good parents to their adult children who may be resisting responsibility and becoming mature adults.Please guide us all to be the best parents we can be.Please grant us the strength and courage necessary to be good parents.Please Lord open the hearts and minds of our sons and daughters who are following dangerous or wrong paths in life.Please guide them to become the responsible mature young adults we know they can be.Please Lord help us parents to know what to do in difficult situations and that our adult children will be responsive.Thankyou Lord for hearing our prayers Amen

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known that anyone who fled unto thy protection,
implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided.

Inspired with this confidence, I fly unto thee,
O Virgin of virgins, my Mother;
to thee do I come; before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful.

O Mother of the Word Incarnate,
despise not my petitions,

Loving God,

We lift up our prayers for this intention and ask for your courage, strength, and perseverance as parents continue to love and influence their adult children in the hopes that they reach their full potential and become the children of God that you desire, O Lord. Please help parents to find the right words to say and methods of sharing guidance with these adult children that encourages them to take responsibility for their choices and be the best they can be each day. Please also help the parents to let go and accept their changing role in their children’s life as the years pass and the needs of the children change. Please bless all adult children and all parents, and guide them toward a family life that is in accordance with your Holy and perfect will. We trust in you and know you want the best for each of us, O Lord. Please lead us on the path you desire in these very important relationships each day and send your Holy Spirit to help us when we are searching for the right words or ways of expressing our love to these adult children.

We pray in the name of your beloved son Jesus, the Good Shepherd of your people.
