jw women can sit wherever they want. It is a false statement.
Regarding whether they can pray or not, they do not get up on
the podium and preach unless there is no men around. Also,
they can pray in their own homes, or wherever. The jw women do
not start or close prayer in the hall. The men do it. If there is no
men around, they may do it. I believe they can pray in front of men
( unbaptized ones ) if their head is covered.

Thank you for this thread.
I have a quick question too.
I have lots of JW churches in my home town
None have windows, why?

i think its because they don’t want it to resemble a church.
they do not not consider their halls as a church. ( which it
isn’t anyways ) Carol Marie would be the one to ask about this.
She is more informed than Iam.

Lots of their Kingdom Halls do not have windows because the JWs pride themsleves on building their halls quickly and cheaply. The main reason that the Halls do not have windows is for a couple of really practical reasons… 1) heating costs (not such a bad idea considering the rising costs of natural gas today) 2) cost of the windows 3) avoid vandalism.

Thanks,
I understand the simpliest answer is probably right.

As an ex-JW myself, I recall that women could sit anywhere they wanted in the Kingdom Hall. They could also take part in little “dramas” during the Theocratic Ministry School, they could freely comment during the Watchtower study on Sunday, and they could conduct home bible studies with prospective converts.
They could not, however, lead the congregation in prayer, nor could they be appointed Elders or Ministerial Servants.
