I had an incredibly humbling experience just a few minutes ago. I saw a woman standing in the median of a crowded intersection. She was holding a sign and it said, “2 kids, no electricity”. But what struck me most was how utterly beaten she looked. She was looking down, not making eye contact, and just had this look on her face that told me that she was genuinely in need of help. I felt convicted by the Holy Spirit that I must help her. So I stopped, and I approached her, and I asked her name. “Amanda.” She said. And I handed her a little money, and I said, “Can I pray for you?” And she took the money and then took my hand in a handshake of gratitude and she said, “Will you pray with me right now?” And then she prayed a spontaneous prayer that just humbled me to my core and she poured out her despair to God and thanked Him for sending me and asked for His help with her current situation. I think we both had tears in our eyes as we hugged goodbye.
Now I am asking- will everyone who reads this please send up a prayer to our Heavenly Father for Amanda and her two children that He would bless them and send them all the help they need for her current situation?
Thank you so much.
