Please pray for someone I “met” on another forum who has been so damaged by the Church that she cannot bear to be even in the cyber company of a catholic. She has cut off from me. She needs help to heal this. every mail I had had veiled carping which I was gentle with and finally she cut off unable to deal with the anger she was feeling.

Prayer for Victims of Abuse

Praise to you, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
source of all consolation and hope. By Your Son’s
dying and rising He remains Our light in every darkness,
Our strength in every weakness.

Be the refuge and guardian of all who suffer from
abuse and violence. Comfort them and send healing
for their wounds of body, soul, and spirit. Rescue
them from bitterness and shame and refresh them
with Your love.

Heal the brokenness in all victims of abuse and
revive the spirits of all who lament this sin.Help
us to follow Jesus in drawing good from evil, life
from death. Make us one with You in Your love
for justice as we deepen our respect for the dignity
of every human life. Giver of peace, make us one
in celebrating Your praise, both now and forever.

Through Christ Our Lord, amen.

Blessings and thanks. She needs to talk but I fear never will. So much pain locked up in so many people.

Divine Mercy Chaplet

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!
O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!
O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, Amen.

I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; He descended into hell; on the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty; from there He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your Dearly Beloved Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

I pray that the walls of fear and mistrust
might come down and that this person
will come to the place of repentance for
her anger directed at the Church and
Her Children, O Lord. Bless your servant,
Rosebud77’s prayer for her, that it be IN
THE SPIRIT.
Amen.

Peace Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi:

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace,
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy;

O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.

For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

For Help in Trials

Most holy apostle St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the name of the traitor who delivered your beloved Master into the hands of His enemies has caused you to be forgotten by many. But the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of hopeless cases–of things despaired of. Pray for me who feels so hopeless. Make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded to you of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and succor of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, in particular (Rosebud77’s intentiuons), and that I may bless God with you and all the elect throughout eternity. I promise you, O Blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, and I will never cease to honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to do all in my power to encourage devotion to you. Amen.

Prayer to Our Lady of Mental Peace

O Lady of Mental Peace,
Mother of Tranquility
and Mother of Hope,
look uponRosebud77’s intentiuons in this time
of weakness and unrest.

Teach her searching heart
to know that God’s Love
for her is unchanging and
unchangeable, and, that
true human love can only
begin and grow by touching
His Love.

Let your gentle Peace -
which this world cannot give
  • be always with her.
    And, help her to bring this
    same Peace into the lives
    of others.
Our Lady of Mental Peace,
  • Pray for us!
    Amen.
Jesus, Help Me!

In every need let me come to You with humble trust,
saying:
Jesus, help me!
In all my doubts, perplexities, and temptations:
Jesus, help me!
In hours of loneliness, weariness and trials:
Jesus, help me!
In the failure of my plans and hopes, in disappointments,
troubles and sorrows:
Jesus, help me!
When others fail me, and Your Grace alone can assist me:
Jesus, help me!
When I throw myself on Your tender Love as Savior:
Jesus, help me!
When my heart is cast down by failure, at seeing no good
come from my efforts:
Jesus, help me!
When I feel impatient, and my cross irritates me:
Jesus, help me!
When I am ill, and my head and hands cannot work and
I am lonely:
Jesus, help me!

Always, always, in spite of weakness, falls and short-
comings of every kind:
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, help me and never forsake me!

Amen

Prayer for Victims of Abuse
Adapted from a prayer by Mark Herringshaw at beliefnet.com

God, we pray for the abuse victim mentioned by the OP, and for all victims of abuse. We pray for healing. We pray for deep comfort. We pray that You will restore what has been stolen and broken. While You do not alter history, You reveal Your love in the present and the future. What seems hopelessly shattered, in You can be redeemed. For the many millions who have been defiled in physical, sexual and/or emotional abuse, show Yourself to be loving and able – as You are willing – to give back life, and life abundant.

Yes, there is great pain in this world. There is injustice. There is evil. We turn to You and cry out for help and healing. We cannot help but wonder why such horrible abuse happens. But we turn from “why?” and ask instead, “how?” How now will Your perfect goodness and love find expression in the shadow of wickedness? God, You are good and loving and also all powerful. Yet You have risked giving humans the right to choose how we will live. Some choose evil. For those who are victims of others’ vile deeds, we ask You for grace and healing. For those who have suffered, come to them tenderly and with overwhelming and powerful love. We join Jesus and borrow his words, “Be freed from your suffering…” God, Heal this victim of abuse, and all victims of abuse, in Jesus’ name.

And for those victims and other persons who direct their anger towards Your Church on earth due to the evil deeds of some of its clergy and members and the serious misjudgments made by some clergy in handling abuse cases, please help these victims and other persons to rise above their anger and see that a Church is the sum of all of its members and that not all members of Your Church are evil and some are supportive. Guide Your Church also to make the right decisions going forward to prevent future abuse, to honestly and openly and directly address abuse when it happens despite the Church’s efforts to prevent it, to help abuse victims receive justice, and to help them heal physically, mentally and spiritually without adding to the harms they have already suffered from those who choose evil.

In Jesus’ Name, I humbly pray. Amen.

Mary, Undoer of Knots, Please pray for this intention.
St. Joseph, Please pray for this intention.
St. Michael, Please pray for this intention.
St. Peter, St. Paul, St. John, and all the Holy Apostles, Please pray for this intention.
St. Francis Xavier, Please pray for this intention.
St. Dymphna, Please pray for this intention.
Thank you. Amen.

**O Little St. Agnes, so young and yet made so strong and wise by the power of God, protect by your prayers all the young people of every place whose goodness and purity are threatened by the evils and impurities of this world.

Give them strength in temptation and a true repentance when they fail. Help them to find true Christian friends to accompany them in following the Lamb of God and finding safe pastures in His Church and in her holy sacraments.

May you lead us to the wedding banquet of heaven to rejoice with you and all the holy virgin martyrs in Christ who lives and reigns forever and ever.

Amen.
