Praying for your mother’s well-being.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!

Thank you for your continuing prayers for my mother. I know that God has heard and will answer our prayers and I trust in his mercy, wisdom and love.

I am praying strongly for your Mom, you, your family, and caregivers.

It appears that we all tend to revert to our native tongue – even when we are under anesthesia! This is not unusual at all – from my experience. Do you know her native language?

Have faith. Stay strong. Take one minute at a time.

I can speak a little Dutch and guess at most of the rest but she also suffers from word confusion, just to complicate things. We have written some key words for the caregivers so they know if things are to hot, not nice etc. Some of the time she is happy and those are the times, I pray will last longer.

You are welcome. I have been in your shoes – kind of. It is never the same for two people.

Have faith. Our Blessed Mother will guide you (I am praying to her for that for you).

What “I feel” like saying is this: When your Mom speaks in Dutch, listen with your heart and see if your “heart” reaction is what is pleasant to her. E.g., I went to my Friend’s daughter’s Wedding. Everyone at the reception was Ethiopian – except. . . 😊. I sat next to an elder (say in her late 80’s) who spoke no English. She looked at me. I got up and got her a glass of water. She spoke to the young lady next to me. The young lady asked me in English: “She wants to know how did you know she wanted water and how much?” “I just felt it.” You may also be able to “read” her face or eyes. I do not know if this is understandable – if it makes sense.

I will keep on praying for your Mom, that her happy times will last, for you, and your Mom’s caregivers. I am sending the Lord’s Angels your way.

I know that you would like for an end to your mother,s suffering,but it is not your will to decided, only God,s .Jesus too cry out on the Cross, Father why have you forsaken me,because the suffering that Jesus was going threw for us, but than Jesus reply, not my will be done but your,s,so Jesus endured his suffering on the Cross, until,he said, Father I commence my soul into thy hand,s,and bow his head…
All you can do is, pray for your mother,and ask God too give you the strength to endure the pain of watching your mother suffering.
Also, ask Our Lady of Sorrow ,to help you bear the suffering your going threw,for she went threw a lot of suffering, watching her son Jesus from the start to the end suffer for us.
 
Holy Michael the Archangel defend us in the day of battle.
Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host,
by the Power of God,

My heart and prayer go out to you and your family. I went what you are going through for four years and often wondered why but then I realized that in part it was to build own character, compassion and love for it is easy to feel love for a healthy person but difficult to maintain that same level of love for a person so afflicted. We had hospice that would come in for two hours each day and I felt totally blessed by these daily angels. The Lord will take your mother in his time so persevere and don’t hesitate to ask for help from your church brothers and sisters for that is part of being a Catholic. I don’t know where you live but if you live close to me, Copperas Cove, Texas, I would be happy to assist you with your mother and pray with you and your family. What is your mothers first name and I will put her in my prayers daily. God bless you and your family and peace be with you.

Thank you. My mother is called Maria. The stroke was so severe that only about an inch of her brain around her skull is still working and she is in a nursing home receiving 24 hour nursing care. She gets very lonely (made worse by not remembering visits), confused and when she knows something is wrong she gets even more upset and frustrated. I know that she will be with us until God decides otherwise but I simply pray that between now and then, her suffering ceases or eases.

I am in the United Kingdom.
