For Baby Amelia again

Baby Amelia, who was born at 25 1/2 weeks and 20 oz., is now a month old. She had a rough day today, as her heart tries to adjust to the greater workload following PDA surgery (a common surgery in extreme preemies…has to do with an extra blood vessel that is supposed to close on its own, but doesn’t.)

Her parents are very worried, and she is on 3 blood pressure medications, a ventilator, has a catheter, etc. Please pray that her heart starts working more efficiently, that her kidneys don’t fail, and that she soon turns a corner for the better.

Thank you all.

Lord please grant Your gentle mercy to Amelia and her parents.

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.

Update - as of about 11 pm CDT, Amelia had her best blood gases since her birth a month ago, stable blood pressure, and decent urine output. Thank God for all you wonderful prayer warriors!

There will still be quite a roller coaster ride for a couple of months, but those prayers sure are working.
