If you believe, can you please pray that I may too. I apologise for the irony of the request; it is, nevertheless, serious.

Also, if you know where I can discuss the faith, preferably privately and online, I would appreciate it if you can tell me.

Welcome struthian! 🙂

You’ve come to the right place. There are plenty of people here at CAF who will be happy to pray for you and/or discuss the faith with you, either in the forums or through Private Messages. You’re welcome to send me a Private Message if you like.

Meanwhile, I’m praying for you.

And here’s a Bible verse from today’s Liturgy of the Hours:

Mid-morning reading (Terce) 1 Kings 8:60-61 ©
May all the peoples of the earth come to know that the Lord is God indeed, and that there is no other. May your hearts be wholly with the Lord our God, following his laws and keeping his commandments as at this present day.

:blessyou:

**In the words of Saint Peter, “I believe help my unbelief”.
I am struggling with my faith right now also.
I will pray for you.

Boy, aren’t we all to some degree struggling with belief! Last week I cried out from the depths “Where are you God when I need you?” And I found Him within my wife and right here where people lifted me up in prayer and sympathy and words of love.

God Bless you in your struggle and may His Perfect Plan be revealed through you as you continue to work through your doubts. Jesus, I trust in You!

If you want to take a look at the common sense approach to belief, a good book to read by C.S. Lewis is “Mere Christianity”. It is not one of those books that you can’t put down, sometimes it is a slow read, but it sure is a good one.

I would be glad to discuss privately if you wish, the common sense approach.

Love God and believe.

Though unworthy, I gaze towards heaven, never allowing sin, nor doubt, to eclipse the bliss of my Love.

Dear Jesus Christ, Good Shepherd,

Please grant struthian some faith.

Thank you,
Amen

struthian,

Back in the '70’s, I flat wore myself out. I knew God was there, but found it hard to believe in Him. So, I prayed and asked him for faith. He granted me faith. He’ll do the same for you.

PM me anytime you want to discuss things.

God loves you,
Don
