Hi,

I would like to ask you to pray that the students at the college I am deciding whether to go back to, will be given the gift of fervent prayer and the desire to pray together, especially the Rosary and Divine Mercy chaplet. The campus ministers have blocked, mocked, and ridiculed, any attempt to try to start a prayer or Rosary or Divine Mercy chaplet group, saying that no one wants to pray the Rosary or pray together. They have deliberately discouraged Catholic students from praying together, and this makes me sick. Every attempt made to encourage students to pray together has been mocked. Please pray for all of these people involved, that they be instructed. The Catholic ministry on campus has become very lukewarm, and almost regards being lukewarm as a virtue. There is no faith without prayer, and prayer is made out to be only private, and people who want to pray together with other Catholics are barely given any venue or event for doing so. I doubt that anyone on the ministry paid faculty ever prays the Rosary, and it sickens me that they think that no one cares about praying together. The Protestants on campus pray together, and it sickens me to hear from a minister and even a Deacon that young Catholic students say that no one will care about or be interested in a group Rosary or Divine Mercy hour or hour of adoration at the chapel on campus. It sickens me. Pray for these people and for the pastor and priests to turn the tide on this sentiment. Pray for the campus ministries of all colleges throughout the world that do not put dialogue with God first in their relationships.

God bless you and thank you for any prayers at all.

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be
done, on earth as it is in heaven Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our
trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil. Amen

Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with thee
blessed art thou among women and
blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus
Holy Mary mother of God pray for us
sinners now and at the hour of our death
Amen.

Glory Be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning is now ever shall be world without end Amen

Lord Jesus Christ, through the power of Your Holy Spirit, enflame our hearts with love for You. Bless us with Your grace and strengthen our faith, that we may heed Your call to holiness and triumph in the battle of prayer. Bring all the sheep of Your flock together, that we may follow You on the path of righteousness until we, through the mercy of God, reach the gate of heaven. Amen.

That is sad. I started a rosary group at Baylor, but I never went through any of the faculty. It began just me in the evenings and then some Catholic friends in my dorm joined me. After awhile it just grew by word of mouth at church. We prayed a rosary every night, mostly just those of us in the dorm, and then Wednesday nights more would join us outside by one of the Baylor community centers. We had Protestants join us pretty often. Baylor students can be pretty anti-Catholic, but there were plenty who supported us. It was a great example of agreeing to disagree on certain topics, but supporting and celebrating differences and similarities between Catholics and Protestants.
