I sometimes struggle with this as well.
Our Father who art in Heaven,
Hallowed be Thy name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done.
On earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those
who trespass against us.
And lead us not in to temptation.

I think most (or all) of us struggle with this at least sometimes. I am praying for you.
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, we fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, our Mother. To you do we come, before you we stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word incarnate, despise not our petitions but, in your mercy, hear and answer us. Amen.

Lord, please help Torch to be abandoned to your merciful love full of confidence in your merciful love. In your goodness and providence you do everything to benefit Torch’s soul and his/her spiritual life; you do nothing to harm it. Please help him/her to know that you love him/her more than he/she loves himself/herself and will not even pernit a hair to fall from his/her head without your willing it. Your will is Love and Mercy itself, and nothing you could ever will for Torch could be bad for him/her. This would be impossible, for it would negate who you are. Help him/her to trust in you with all his/her heart and to be fully abandoned to your will in all circumstances. Thank you, Lord, for hearing my prayer.
