How do you describe your conversion? For me, I am an informed convert. I went out from non-catholicism with a carte of the books and history and the contemplations, realizations. I do not belong to the “Aahh…” crowd. How about you?

Are you sure you had checked all the corners, overhead and under the bed before you were converted? Thanks guys

I did a LOT of research. I started out researching how to make a rosary (I make jewelry, it was a request), and just couldn’t stop. When I was growing up Baptist I had some *crazy ideas *(like how could Joseph have children with Mary, knowing she was the mother of God’s son?), but just accepted that my church was teaching me right. I have read every book, article, summary, opinion, and pamphlet I can get my hands on, including the Catechism and Compendium. I’ve also learned a lot by having to find answers to questions from athiests and evolutionists (which is always a blast). What I’ve found is that the Church teaches those same crazy ideas I have. I’m not even through RCIA yet, but I think know what I’m getting myself into, and it’s awesome:thumbsup:.

I would say that I am a well informed convert. (Some people like to call it brainwashed…though I’m not sure who supposedly brainwashed me since I figured it out on my own and had no Catholic family and just ONE Catholic friend to answer questions.)🤷

The best books I’ve found are “The Catholic Answer Book of Mary” and “Born Fundamentalist, Born Again Catholic”. Many others also, but those two in particular hit just the right issues.
